It's Why We Named the Dog Montana
Another favorite photo from the photo vault. This one because you surely wanted a follow-up to the wedding and also because it's mine and Keith's favorite picture from our honeymoon.
This was taken on the last morning of our honeymoon, as we exited Glacier National Park in Montana for the drive back to the airport in Great Falls. Most of the clothes we're wearing, including the cowboy boots, were bought in Kalispell.
The weather report the week before had been snow, snow, snow. We packed appropriately but arrived in Montana to find that the temperatures were in the 70s. That prompted a trip to the nearest mall to buy more summery clothing. To our amusement, the mall had a western clothing store, which yielded us some western finery.
The rest of the week was spent hiking on the Continental Divide on top of massive snow drifts, horse back riding in what can only be described as Alpine fields, gawking at lots of wildlife you just don't see in the southeast, and seeking out a real-life Montana rodeo. It was the perfect honeymoon to top off the rest of our perfect wedding festivities.
